Prior lives affect the Next

Today is my only grandson's twenty-second birthday.
During his first ten years, we were always doing things together.
He spent more time on my computer at the age of two
than I did.  We had all of the Freddy Fish games
but started with Tune Town which taught him the basics of using
a computer.  He is now in college becoming an Engineer
and learning that being grown up is far more challenging than learning
to navigate Freddy through the ocean.

I believe in genetic memories or other lives
I believe that there are little notes in our psyche that whisper
sometimes loudly and sometimes too softly
allowing us to experience something we need to experience
because a verbal warning doesn't impact us
like first hand experience.

I love my life at the moment feeling I am where I wish to be
but this feeling opens up the door looking into before
Before and After
markers we use when we look at our lives
Regret is always part of life, hindsight is a slap on the head
but we live and we experience
We make those mistakes that need to be made
We expand our lives, we condense our lives but life is ours
Everything is our choice if in nothing else
but how we deal with it.

Children should be encouraged to be open to life
open to the up and down
open to addressing the bad and appreciating the good
Life is life
and my grandson is twenty-two
He will carry with him those small bits of me wherever he goes
and long, long after I am a memory.
